The M/V Algolake takes it first cargo of low-sulfur coal from Superior's
Midwest Energy Terminal on April 2, 2005.

It takes about five hours to load the Algolake with
its cargo of nearly 30,000 tons of coal. The cargo will
be unloaded at Ontario Power's Nanticoke plant on Lake Erie.
Captain Rasmussen began his sailing career with the
Canadian Coast Guard before joining Algoma Central Marine
in 1978 as Third Mate aboard the Algocen.

is his favorite part of the job, much of his time is spent behind this desk in
the ship's office, tending to the vast amounts of paperwork that go with the job.
