A Conversation with Captain Anders Rasmussen

The Inland Mariners Oral History Series, No. 5:

Captain Anders Rasmussen began his maritime career in 1969 with the Canadian Coast Guard aboard the Alexander MacKenzie while stationed at Prince Rupert, BC. In 1978 Anders shifted his career to the Great Lakes, joining the Algocen on April 3 at Port McNichol, Ontario. On May 13, 1979 Anders returned to the Algocen as 1st Mate. In 1990 Anders was assigned captain of the Algoriver. Since the year 2000 he has been permanent skipper on the Algolake.
