Algocape
The Algocape was built by Davie Shipbuilding, Ltd. at Lauzon, Quebec in 1966.
The vessel entered service on the lakes as the Richeleiu in 1967 under the
flag of Canada Steamship Lines.

Grain spouts over hatch
The usual trade route for the Algocape is to load grain at Thunder Bay, Ontario
to ports on the upper St. Lawrence such as Port Cartier, where this cargo is
destined, and Baie Comeau.
