A Conversation with Captain Gerry Greig
Captain Gerry Greig talks about his career on the Great Lakes. Gerry begain sailing in 1964 as a relief deckhand on the steamers Maunaloa II and the Douglass Houghton. In 1970 he took his first licensed job when he became 3rd Mate on the Red Wing, A decade later he was appointed captain of the Gordon C. Leitch. Since 1995 Gerry has been permanent skipper on the Canadian Miner. Captain Greig has worked all 41 of his years with Upper Lakes.
